OUTSPOKEN footballer Joey Barton was caught up in another accent controversy after he was spotted speaking in a broad Glaswegian accent, according to reports.
The embarrassing encounter is the second time the scouse midfielder has been involved in Lingogate.
Barton is famous for his interview in front of French journalists during his spell with Marseille when he answered questions in a weird French accent.
Witnesses say Barton came across as ‘pure Glaswegian’ after reports suggested a wee scouser went on a two-day Buckfast bender and was refused bail for a city centre altercation.
One witness, big Davy who drives his own mobile chip van, told Dafty News: “The wee man is one of us. His interview in Gleswegian was magic. He had all the actions like talking out the side of his mouth and he even had the gravely ‘Ah jist telt him’ voice.”
