NetFlix have stepped up to the plate after Hilary Clinton urged companies in Silicon Valley to help disrupt ISIS. It is thought that she was actually referring to tech companies like Google and Facebook but in an awkward twist, Netflix, who also are residents of Silicon Valley, have stated that they would get involved.
At the event in Washington, Mrs Clinton made a reference to Silicon Valley’s reverence for disruptive technologies: “We need to put the great disrupters at work at disrupting ISIS.”
The comment was aimed at tech companies that could actually do something and had representatives at the event in Washington where Mrs. Clinton gave her speech. But according to sources they all seemed to “awkwardly look at the floor while whistling”.
It was at this point a representative from Netflix stood up and declared war on ISIS through “Original programming”. It is reported that Mrs Clinton was too embarrassed to tell them she was talking to Apple.
This morning Netflix released it’s ‘Coming Soon in 2016’ newsletter which listed all new ‘Original programming’ like “The Muppets take Syria” and “The Real Housewives of Damascus ”, which they feel would help to disrupt ISIS.
