THE world of music plunged into darkness this morning after Scottish pop band Deacon Blue announced a comeback tour, incorporating a return to the famous Barrowlands where they infamously performed almost thirty years ago.
With only weeks into 2016, the music world has lost a number of high profile icons such as David Bowie, but the latest news of Deacon Blue’s return to the stage is the worst news to date - according to music experts.
Music critic Ellen Humphries said of the sad news: “We are all trying to get over Bowie and now this. It’s so difficult to take in. Everyone who follows the concept of quality music will be completely devastated.”
Further sad news is expected after rumours spread The Proclaimers could be about to record a new album.
