Man Loses Job Because of Phobia of Going to Work
A 37-year-old man from Lancashire in England has lost his unfair dismissal claim after bosses sacked him for taking 363 days leave from work due to a claim he has a phobia of going to work.
Bosses say the un-named father-of-four did not comply with their work terms of showing up at least five days each week day and consequently dismissed the office worker.
The man’s lawyer made this statement to Dafty News reporters outside the court: “My client has been diagnosed with a severe condition which makes him terrified to go to work.
It is a condition suffered by millions upon millions of Brits but my client has been singled out; therefore we are appealing.”
Psychologists say the condition, commonly known as Cantbe Botheredus, affects nine out of ten people and many experts say the numbers are expected to rise.
