A 48-year-old man in the UK has been given the ultimate tough guy label after it emerged he unfriended six people from his contact list of around 3,000.
Close friends say the move gave the man a strong confident and overwhelming powerful feeling of self-importance and vows to unfriend more.
One friend, who wished to be unnamed in fear of being on the receiving end of a Facebook cull, told Dafty News: “It’s best to stay on his good side. Agree with everything he says and always, always, like his posts and comments. That way you’ll be safe.”
Unfriending on Facebook psychologist Anna Frankhelm said of the latest trend on the social media giant website: “This feeling of empowerment by blocking, deleting and unfriending is the new hard man status right now. However, it’s worth pointing out those who threaten a ‘Facebook cull’ on their status are weak and pathetic little moronic attention seekers and to be honest it’s best you don’t even have these people on your list.”
The top psychologist has long campaigned for an app that follows those who unfriend you where you can track them down and commit an incredibly violent act on them with a heavy blunt instrument.
