A 45-year-old man from Glasgow announced his excitement at using his plastic snow shovel he purchased from a nearby Aldi store last summer, it has been reported.
The father-of-five who works part-time in a warehouse grabbed the bargain offer in July last year and has been looking forward to using his shovel ever since.
Speaking to Dafty News, the elated forklift driver said: “The whole country is moaning about the heavy snowfall but I’m super excited.
“I am using this great opportunity to use my snow shovel. I bought it last summer and have been dying to use it since.”
“It’s a bit flimsy and doesn’t really scrape the snow that well but for a tenner who gives a f*ck?”
It’s not the first time bad weather has made someone happy.
In November last year, a 55-year-old man from Edinburgh was thought to be ecstatic after spotting a noisy leafblower from a Lidl store for £2.99.
Due to the end of the season, he was unable to blow any leaves but spent months happily blowing empty crisp pokes and strewn beer cans away from his driveway.
