SCOTTISH rugby fans have urged Her Majesty to give a knighthood to every player who starred in the heroic 27-22 victory against Ireland at Murrayfield on Saturday, our sports correspondent can confirm.
Calls for the knighthood is not thought to be just solely on the narrow victory but the fact Scotland has beaten the team who have beaten the All Blacks.
Scots rugby fan Hamish MacDonald, a heavy-set kilt-wearing avid beer drinker told Dafty News: “Essentially we should be world champions because we defeated Ireland who has actually beaten the All Blacks. It makes sense.”
It is also understood the tiny nation would have had a day off to commemorate the historic victory but as half the country are already unemployed the organizers don’t believe it would make any sense.
