A 24-year-old unemployed father-of-six was remanded in custody last night after hurling a serious of Facebook friend requests at bar staff at his local, it has emerged.
Pub-goers were left shocked as the accused was seen whipping out his phone and making a series of scrolling movements whilst calmly taking to four members of the pub’s bar staff.
Detective Harry Scapegoat told our reporters:
“We can confirm a 24-year-old man was arrested late last night just before closing time after complaints were made that he was threatening bar staff with a Facebook friend request.
“Three staff members were being treated for shock after the incident and we appeal to anyone who may have been drinking heavily in the establishment to come forward with any information about the incident.”
In another part of the country, a female was on the run after she was spotted trying unsuccessfully to set up a Twitter account.
The woman appeared anxious, confused, dazed, and in a state of distress.
It is unclear if the woman managed to achieve her mission. It is understood many witnesses fled the scene after reports some rushed to her aid but were hindered by the complicated process synonymous with setting up some social media accounts.
