U2 FRONTMAN Bono was at the centre of an offshore scandal yesterday after leaked papers reveal the Irishman used an offshore agency to add at least four extra inches to his famous boot heels, it has been revealed.
A close aide and inside leak to U2 told Dafty News in an exclusive:
“Bono has always felt he could use another couple of inches. He’s the smallest in the band and feels inferior. In fact, he’s the smallest everywhere he goes.
“This is perhaps the reason he has been active in Africa trying to raise awareness of situations.
“It’s not that he wants to save Africa; he only hangs about there because he looks tall in all the photos next to African people – who are much smaller than us.”
It’s not the first time Bono, real name Paul Hewson, has been accused of using offshore facilities to gain an advantage.
In the height of U2’s prominence in the 80s, the singer allegedly moved his ego between offshore accounts in one of the banking industry’s biggest deflation scandals.
