A COUPLE who were filmed romping on a Ryanair flight by shocked passengers are to be charged extra leg room after the footage of the pair went viral, causing an internet storm, and alerting Ryanair’s added charges office to the clip, it has been reported. The male passenger must pay for an extra ‘bag’, say Ryanair.
A Ryanair spokesperson said this morning after viewing the footage: “It is our policy to charge each person per seat. This lady was clearly straddling this young man and used the whole width of row 29. Therefore, we have to charge her for three seats.
“We could have charged her for four seats as she was gripping on to the headrest in front of her quite tightly – which was in row 30.
“Also, she used a series of different positions and having viewed the video clip online she has quite long legs so we have added a separate charge for extra leg room.”
Ryanair issued this statement on the subject of romping on one of their aircraft:
“Randy couples can romp on any of our aircraft all they like. They just have to add it along with their baggage allowance when booking online. If the woman is a bit on the rough side then the male passenger just has to click ‘extra bag’ and it will automatically be charged to their credit card.”
